Pine Beetle Outbreaks Expected to Rise in the Future
According to a study conducted by USDA Forest Service, spruce and mountain pine beetle outbreaks are likely to increase significantly within the coming decades. These outbreaks are expected to happen in western North America's forests. Researchers explain that beetles respond to climate change and with temperatures rising so will the beetle population.
