New Invader in South Florida
The tegu lizard has four legs, sharp claws and can take down your Chihuahua. Native to South America, this invasive species has been found in South Florida and can reach three feet long. The tegu has become a problem because pet owners let them go into the wild. Scientists are trying to regulate the tegu lizard problem by putting them in zoos where they cannot do any harm.
