22% of World's Plants Threatened with Extinction

A study of plants worldwide analizes their risk of extintion at 22 per cent. Kew Gardens, the Natural History Museum of London and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has revealed that the risk of extinction to the world’s plants is as high as the risk to mammals, with more than one in five of the world’s plant species threatened with extinction.
