A recent study reported in The Wilson Journal of Ornithology, shows that at least 25 species of birds are part of the diet of the non-native Burmese pythons (Python molurus bivittatus) in Everglades National Park, Florida. Of the 25 bird species, four species of birds identified in this study are of special concern in Florida and a fifth, the Wood Stork (Mycteria americana), is listed as federally endangered.
